Gluten-free cheese burek

Dough ingredients:

 

 

Filling ingredients:

 

  • 500 g unsalted cottage cheese
  • 180 g sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt to taste

 

For brushing:

 

  • A little oil (for brushing before baking)

 


 

Instructions:

 

  1. Preparing the dough:
    • In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, and psyllium.
    • Add the oil and warm water, then mix well and knead until you get a smooth, elastic dough.
    • Divide the dough into 4 portions and form 4 balls.
    • Brush the dough balls with oil and let them rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Preparing the filling:
    • In a bowl, mix the cottage cheese, sour cream, eggs, and salt until you get a smooth, creamy mixture.
  3. Rolling and assembling:
    • Roll out each dough ball as thinly as possible. Do this on an oiled countertop or on baking paper.
    • Spread the cheese filling evenly over the dough and roll or shape it as desired.
  4. Before baking:
    • Brush the burek with a little oil to give it a nice golden-brown crust during baking.
  5. Baking:
    • Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approximately 40 minutes, until beautifully golden brown.
  6. Serving:
    • Let it cool slightly, then slice and serve.
